Account & Data Removal

Delete Your Account

Request deletion of your TFF Field App account and associated data from the Tobacco Free Farm Monitor (TFM) platform.

App: TFF Field App · Developer: Farmers Data Hub Uganda (FAO) · Last updated June 2026

This page explains how to request that your account and associated data be deleted from the TFF Field App, operated by Farmers Data Hub Uganda under the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for the Tobacco Free Farming program. You can delete your account yourself from inside the app, or send us a deletion request by email.

1Delete From the App

The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the app:

  1. Open the TFF Field App and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings (bottom navigation).
  3. Under Account, tap Delete account.
  4. Enter your password and type DELETE to confirm.
  5. Tap Delete Account. You will be signed out immediately.
Tip: If you have unsynced field records you still need, run a sync before deleting so your work is uploaded.

2Request by Email

If you can no longer sign in to the app, you can request deletion by email. Send a message to support@fao-fdh.ug from the email address linked to your account, with the subject “Account Deletion Request” and include:

  • Your full name as registered in the app
  • Your username or registered email/phone number
  • The name of your partner organization (if known)

We verify ownership before processing and will confirm by email once your account has been deleted, normally within 30 days.

Data That Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following personal account data is removed or cleared:

  • Your name, username, email address, and phone number
  • Your profile picture
  • All mobile access tokens (you are signed out everywhere)
  • Your ability to sign in — the account is deactivated and removed from active login
  • Locally stored authentication on the device used to sign in

Data That Is Kept

The TFF Field App is an official program tool. Field and program records you created or contributed to — such as farmer profiles, training records, FFS group activity, VSLA savings and loan records, event attendance, and monitoring data — are not personal data about you and remain in the program backend so the Tobacco Free Farming program can continue operating. Where required, your individual attribution on these records is anonymized after account deletion.

Retention Period

Your personal account details are cleared immediately when the account is deleted. The deactivated account record is retained in a soft-deleted state for up to 90 days to protect against accidental deletion and for security auditing, after which it is permanently removed. Synchronized program records may be retained for the duration required by FAO program reporting, audit, and legal compliance obligations.
